Serhiy Zorya

CEO of RightBusiness:

បានបញ្ចប់ការសិក្សាពី:

What company do you work for now?

I am the head of RightBusiness, a creative team that unites digital marketers, graphic designers, photographers, SMM and SEO specialists, front-end and back-end developers. We provide a full range of web services.

Tell us about the most challenging and exciting project you are proud of.

One of the most important projects in life is the first project. For me, this was the DigitalMirrow project. It was a virtual fitting room, and at the time it was a product that no one believed in. Since the product itself was registered in the United States, its first client was one of the largest clothing store chains, which later bought the full package of rights to the product from us. I would like to say that not every project works out, but if you work hard, everything is possible.

What specialty did you study at ITSTEP? What year did you graduate from the Academy?

I graduated from the Academy in 2008 with a degree in Software Development. In addition, I previously studied at the Small Academy. I would like to express my deep gratitude to Oleksandr Kobelchak, who was my teacher and a man with a capital M. He played a very important role, he stopped me when I gave up and said: "Sergiy, you're going to be a programmer, you'll make it."

What role did the Academy play in your life?

The Academy has played a very important role in shaping my outlook, professional skills, and development as an IT specialist. One of the most important things the Academy has taught me is to understand the full picture of project development. Every student can create something new, present the product and get feedback. Now I can see the picture from all sides: as a former head of the programming department of the Dnipro branch, as a person who worked as a programmer, and as a current employer. This vision suggests that the Academy is moving in the right direction, that training is properly organized, and that recruitment and training are carried out competently.

What advice can you give to students who are currently studying at the Academy?

"Only the one who walks can make it." You need to take the first step and not be afraid of anything. At the Academy, all teachers want to see successful students, to give them as much knowledge, skills and abilities as possible. No one will judge you if you don't understand something, if something doesn't work out, or if you have a lot of questions. I think that everyone can change their profession at any time, and age is not a limitation. For the 7 years I have been a teacher, I have noticed that the path of becoming a programmer is quite difficult and many students have thoughts: "it's not for me", "it's not for me", "I won't succeed", and then, after a while, they say: "Thank you for motivating me. It's great that I chose this profession." I sincerely wish everyone to do what you like, to make projects that will be successful, not to lose heart if something doesn't work out and move on.
