Vladyslav Shirobokov

Senior VFX, Motion and Video designer, 2D/3D Animation at Huuuge Games:

Graduated from:

Computer Graphics and Design

What company do you work for now? What is your position?

Now I work at Huuuge Games, a Polish game development company, as Senior VFX, Motion & Video designer, 2D/3D Animation.

The company opened a representative office in Kyiv on the basis of our team. Previously, I worked at the IT company ZEO Alliance as a Motion Designer and VFX, as a video designer at Novy Channel, and participated in various freelance projects.

What are your responsibilities?

At Huuuge Games, I create animation and special effects for the game. I also develop teasers and trailers for advertising, including editing, design, post-production of image videos and sales videos for our game.

Tell us about the most exciting project you are proud of.

The brightest and most successful project is a game that our team at Huuuge Games has been working on for a year. It will enter the international market in 2020. My largest projects were at ZEO Alliance, a company that created its own IT products. There I worked on a large-scale project for 3 years, where I got the opportunity to implement it in the field of game development. What role did ITSTEP Academy play in your life?

With the support of teachers and the branch director, I became a finalist in the ImagineCup 2011 competition from Microsoft, which took place in New York, in the DIGITAL MEDIA category. During my studies, I used the opportunity to prove myself in a competitive environment. The Academy has always supported students' initiative. In addition to pairs, we had many internal competitions among students. The Golden Byte Championship was held annually, where I participated and won prizes.

What advice do you have for students currently studying at the Academy?

Do not limit yourself to what you are taught in class. Be interested in services, websites, and platforms where you can view a lot of visual material to develop your taste. Use all the opportunities provided by the Academy for realization: take part in competitions, complete additional tasks - this will help you stand out from other students and start a career as a designer.
