What specialty did you study at the Academy? What year did you graduate?

Computer graphics and design, 2022

What company do you work for now?

I'm currently working on my own project, Inkymax. I also work as an interface designer and concept artist for a new game company called Taco Eaters Games. In addition, I work with two regular customers who produce animated series, and these projects are the main source of my income. Unfortunately, I can't tell you more details about them now.

In what position?

I have several different roles: graphic designer, illustrator, concept artist, colorist, writer, and UI/UX designer.

What tasks do you perform?

At my company Inkymax, I write scripts, create illustrations, and draw comic book pages. I also design characters and locations. At Taco Eaters Games, I'm responsible for interface design - menus, buttons, logos, interactive elements, as well as monster and character concepts. As for the animated series that I create for customers, my job is to develop character concepts, select color palettes for them and their environments. I also create products for printing, draw posters and previews for the series.

What projects have you participated in? Is it possible to add a link to the project/portfolio/page to Linkedin?

I'm working on the Taco Eaters Games project, which you can learn more about on our Discord channel: Taco Eaters Games Discord. I'm also creating a comic book called Hidden Heroes, the first volume of which is available on the Mangalib platform: Hidden Heroes on Mangalib. Currently, there are translations into Ukrainian and Russian, and the English version is still in the works.

What's the most challenging/interesting/bright project you've been involved in?

The most interesting and important project for me is my own project, the Hidden Heroes comic book. This is just the beginning, and we are very ambitious in our goal to succeed in this area.

What role has ITSTEP played in your life?

IT STEP Academy has played an important role in my professional development. Most of the knowledge I gained turned out to be really useful, and I am grateful that I chose this academy to study at the time. Now I'm studying Design at Kremenchuk University, but I have to admit that I get much less useful information there than at IT STEP. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the lack of help with employment after graduation, as promised. But this challenge helped me develop my job search and communication skills.

What advice would you give to students for a successful career start?

My advice is to constantly learn and discover new things if you have chosen a field that fascinates you. But the most important thing is not to be afraid to communicate with people and actively offer your services to different companies. Even if you receive rejections, there will always be those who are looking for you.
