What specialty did you study at the Academy? What year did you graduate?
Actually, I've been studying at the Academy since the Small Computer Academy. After completing the first year of study, I realized that I liked IT technologies and decided to switch to the adult direction “Professional Computer Education” and the course “Software Development”, where I studied until 2022.
What company do you work for now?
I currently work for two companies at once - Escape Room Supplier and Gryftec Embedded Systems in Poland.
What position do you hold?
I hold the positions of hardware and software developer and software developer.
What tasks do you perform?
There are a lot of tasks and they are all different, including prototyping, creating PCB board schematics, writing software for microcontrollers, system programming, tests, programming CNC maintenance, lasers, etc., creating enclosure designs, writing converters, data interpreters, software for Rolls-Royce engines that are installed on trains and ships, writing physical system emulators, writing a disassembler for one of our Trace32 products, etc.
What was your most memorable/difficult/interesting project that you are proud of?
It's very difficult to single out a specific project because the specifics of my job are that I work for two companies that deal with devices that interact with each other and form ecosystems. For example, recently, the Escape Room Supplier team and I started creating UPC v5. This version of the central segment has absolutely nothing in common with the versions currently in use around the world. The platform on which I am building the new UPC has a different architecture microcontroller and a completely different logic voltage level. However, unfortunately, I cannot provide more detailed information because it is a commercial secret.
What projects have you participated in? Can you share a link to the project website?
https://www.escaperoomsupplier.com
I continue to participate in these projects. On the first one, I am fully engaged in the development of equipment for escape rooms, from boards to software writing, case modeling, and RnD tests. And on the second, I recently switched to a project to develop Trace 32, which is an environment for developing software for various microcontrollers of various architectures. In fact, I write logic that converts machine code into a form that can be read by humans.
What role has ITSTEP Academy played in your life?
IT STEP Computer Academy provided me with a very powerful base of both practical and theoretical knowledge. Thanks to the administration, I had the opportunity to develop comprehensively, participate in competitions, and play an active role in the life of the branch; thanks to the teachers, I became confident in my abilities, which gave me an incredible boost when looking for my first job. I am very grateful to my native branch and even after graduation I know that there will always be a place for me in the academy...
