What specialty did you study at the Academy? In what year did you graduate?

Studied in the field of computer graphics and design (2018-2021)

What company(s) are you currently working for?

Now I work as a designer in the SMM agency Lobods

What position?

Graphic designer

What tasks do you perform?

I create banners, stories, edit videos for social networks, and develop styles for brands.

What was your most notable project that you are proud of?

Among my favorites are interactive banners for Tascombank, which bring good engagement on the brand's page. As well as banners that I have recently created in combination with AI (Midjourney).

I can also highlight Avon, for which I do a lot of work: from stories to posts and rollups. It is in this project that you need to accumulate all your hard skills: from Photoshop and Illustrator to After Effects, as well as include creativity and surprise in order not to repeat yourself and do it quickly.

What projects have you participated in? Is it possible to attach portfolio or Linkedin page, link to projects?

I haven't updated my portfolio since I found my current job, but you can find my test and real projects there (KronTech, Atalie JA, IQOS Box): https://www.behance.net/jullowski

What role has ITSTEP Academy played in your life?

The Academy definitely played a big role, it gave me great student years: I gained important skills in graphic editors, which are an integral part of my work (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.). I was introduced to design theory, branding, advertising design, and prepress. All this came in handy when I started to prove myself as a specialist. At the academy, I found my first orders, useful contacts, and friends who are still with me. At some point, we all became friends so much that we spent time together outside of school, even going on a short trip to Lviv. I remember these years fondly.

I am sure that our students will be inspired by your success and it will give them extra motivation. What can you advise them?

My advice would be as follows:

 1) Don't think that graphic design is easy and it's enough to just take a course, completing 1 out of 10 homework assignments at Maystat. The days when you could do the minimum and have some success are over. Do a little more than what is required of you.

 2) “I'm an artist, I see it this way” won't work either. Graphic design is not exactly a creative profession. You will have to think a lot with your head, not your heart.

 3) Listen carefully to Linnick and Dobroskok, don't miss their pairings, and you'll be happy
