WHAT COMPANY DO YOU WORK FOR NOW?
I can't tell you which company I work for because it's a commercial secret. However, I can say that it is a fairly well-known IT company from the capital. I work there as a graphic designer.
WHAT ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?
I design corporate identity, create templates for advertising creatives for social media, develop banners for the corporate website, create visual design for email newsletters and materials for telegram channels, as well as create covers and posters for YouTube, and much more.
WHAT PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN?
Recently, the “Miracle House” facility was opened in Bila Tserkva. (https://www.instagram.com/duvodim?igsh=bW0xMnQwcWJsbXl0)
This is a fairly large-scale project, during which I was responsible for developing designs for printing, business cards, flyers, banners, and social media advertising. The work lasted about three months, and I continue to work with the institution to create new designs for children's rooms and organize events.
We have a powerful team that includes SMM specialists, marketers, copywriters, and me as a graphic designer. I am glad to be a part of this project.
I also developed the corporate identity for another restaurant, Suliko Restaurant, which operates in both Bila Tserkva and Vyshneve. I created the logo and all the visual layouts for the restaurant's printing. (https://www.instagram.com/suliko_bc?igsh=bnVyYW9wMmMwYjRh)
WHAT ROLE DID ITSTEP ACADEMY PLAY IN YOUR LIFE?
IT STEP Computer Academy has played a significant role in my life. I would like to tell you a little bit of the background of how I came to study here.
After school, I had completely different plans. I wanted to go to university abroad, but COVID happened and there was no point in going. And, to be honest, after school I didn't know what I wanted to do, where I wanted to go, who I wanted to become.
Somehow I decided that I would like to try myself in a creative profession, because I had been interested in drawing since childhood. And we came across an advertisement for IT STEP on social media. I saw that they were recruiting for the Computer Graphics and Design course. I thought, why not try it?
From the very first day, we started a module on Photoshop, and I enjoyed learning. Now I am actively working with this tool and plan to continue to improve in this area. I liked the teachers and the fact that there is a lot of practice at the academy! IT STEP has played an important role in my life.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO WISH OUR STUDENTS?
I wish you constant self-improvement. Every project, every mistake, every success - all of this teaches us something new. Always remain open to new knowledge and be ready to grow personally and professionally. You can never compare yourself to others, your start is someone else's maximum and vice versa. Everyone develops at their own pace and in their own capabilities, so you need to remember that hard work will always yield results.
